Latest installment where I actually make something from my Pinterest board. I made this for picnic at Louisiana Swamp Romp at Wolf Trap this past Sunday. I was able to keep Gladware container hot with newspaper and this hot/cold gel pack I found at Bed, Bath and Beyond. This has a lot of chopping of veggies but otherwise very simple to make. It was very tasty! I kept simple and added some mushrooms and vegan sausage. Recipe is from the blog Namely Marly.

Latest in my Pinterest project where I am actually making some of the recipes I’m pinning. The recipe for this can be found at the blog Olives for Dinner.

This was OK but sort of disappointing ( I thought a little bland). Also don’t like recipes where you you need to remove items from the pan and then return them later in the cooking process ( creates a lot of extra dirty dishes, I’m a lazy cook). I don’t see me repeating this one.

Obviously not practical footwear but for pure design and whimsy some of these are very clever!

Peanut Stew

This is the 3rd installment of my project where I am trying to actually make the recipes I pin. This is from the blog Vegan Stoner. I used a 15 oz can of garbanzo beans, a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes, a whole small onion, 1/2 cup of crunchy peanut butter, the thyme and some crushed red pepper flakes (some sriracha would have been good too!). This was really easy to make and very good!

This is number 2 in my series of making recipes that I’ve saved on Pinterest. This recipe can be found at Fatfree Vegan Kitchen. I made this recipe twice, once for a party and then a week later since it was so delicious and easy to make. Good hot or cold.
