B&H Photo in New York advertised a photo contest in their latest newsletter. The theme was poetography; creating an image containing a poem that has a relation to the actual image. It’s not as easy as it sounds (especially if one’s wholly poem knowledge is “There once was a man from Nantucket…). The soldier in this image is part of the African American Civil War Memorial in Washington, DC. I took photos of statue and assembled this piece using Photoshop.
I had two ideas for my final class project for course at AU (in case one was a complete disaster I filmed both ideas).

I re-shot the video for my cinemagraph project (I wasn’t happy with the original composition and needed a more vibrant background). Bad planning on my part.
